We’re excited to share that Isabella (Izzy) Strugarevic, a DPHS freshmen spoke at the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame Dinner held at the Davenport Historic Hotel on Thursday, May 23rd, sharing how the JA program has impacted her this quarter in her Digital Communications class. Izzy spoke about how the Area Manager of GESA Credit Union, Nathaniel Prior was able to prepare her for her career goal of being a commercial pilot by emphasizing skills needed for employment success. She was also able to present David Wright from Itron with the JA Volunteer of the Year award which made it extra special. Izzy also had the opportunity to make some connections with career pilots at this event, which she was very excited about. These folks will be great resources for her in making her career dreams come true. Just one more example of how the Career and Technical Education Programs at Deer Park High School are preparing and equipping students for success beyond high school. Congratulations Isabella!
