We’re excited to connect with parents of school-age kids in Deer Park and the entire Deer Park community as we share a mid-year update. For obvious reasons, it’s been a challenging year for everyone – the pandemic has been a massive disruption to almost every facet of our lives, and as you’re all aware, schools have certainly have not been exempt.
As detailed in the postcard above, on Wednesday, January 20, at 6:00pm, Superintendent Travis Hanson will host an online town hall meeting to share updates about the 2020-21 school year; both what’s transpired over the first few months as well as possibilities for change in the weeks and months ahead. Additionally, Superintendent Hanson will share information about the upcoming Educational Programs & Operations Levy – providing some details about the programs and people funded by levy dollars and what the district is asking voters to consider in the upcoming renewal levy.
The online town hall format provides a one-way audio/video feed and will allow participants to submit questions that will either be answered by off-screen panelists (building principals), or addressed by Superintendent Hanson toward the end of the webinar. Use the following link to join the town hall on the 20th – we look forward to your participation!
