High school students have started receiving results from the 2013 HSPE (High School Proficiency Exams in reading and writing). Score reports will be sent home in the next couple weeks – only results for high school tests are being sent at this time. The return of test results marks the close of the spring testing schedule for high school students and opens the door for summer testing opportunities. Students who will be in grades 11 or 12 next year may now register for the reading or writing portions of the August 2013 High School Proficiency Exams (neither the math or science end-of-course exams are an option in the summer).
Registration for the Summer 2013 HSPE is now open and will conclude on June 28th. Students wishing to register for August testing will need their 10 digit state student identification (SSID) number to register. To complete online registration, please either visit this website – https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us/TestRegistration/ – or register via the phone by calling the toll-free testing hotline at (866) 400-9275.
Please remember that students who register for August testing must be ready to provide their unique 10 digit State Student Identification number (SSID). Students who took the Proficiency Exams this spring will receive a Score Report in the mail which will have their 10-digit SSID number on the top right hand corner; students that have not previously tested or who have not received a score report by Friday, June 28th, can get their SSID number from a school counselor or from the main office at DPHS (468.3500).
August testing will take place at Deer Park’s Administration Building (N. 428 Main St.). Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 am and students are reminded that they must bring some form of picture identification in order to test. If you have questions about August testing please call Travis Hanson, Deer Park’s Director of Teaching and Learning, at 464-5509.
