After School Childcare in Deer Park
Deer Park School District has partnered with Right At School, a nationally recognized school enrichment provider, for after-school childcare opportunities at Deer Park Elementary and Arcadia Elementary - Right At School currently offers after-school programs for families with children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Right At School programs begin at the conclusion of the school day and close each day at 6:00pm every day that school is in session. The Right At School staff provides a fantastic option for families needing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for their children for a few hours after the school day wraps up.
Right At School offers a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework. The program also features an enriched curriculum in the form of two-week units. Examples of units include: Getting Down to Business, providing an introduction to money and commerce; Icky Experiments, an opportunity to experiment with sticky substances to learn chemistry; and Variety Show, where students rehearse and perform individual talent acts.
Deer Park School District has allocated funding to provide partial tuition relief to all families enrolled in Right At School’s after-school programs. Using federal funds provided to schools via the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (pandemic relief for schools), DPSD will pay 30% of Right At School’s full-time rates in the 2022-23 school year, reducing the 5-day after school rate to just $225 per month ($97 in savings each month!). The school district subsidy will decrease as the funds are exhausted over the next couple years, but we’re thrilled about being able to help reduce the cost for families while the federal funds are available.
