Deer Park School District is pleased to announce an administrative opening in our district office: Assistant Superintendent – Educational Services and Human Resources. The district’s Human Resources Dept. is now accepting applications from qualified applicants until April 5th (see a position summary in the .pdf below or CLICK HERE to initiate the application process). Initial interviews will take place April 12th.
A new position in the 2021-22 school year, the Assistant Superintendent will work alongside the Superintendent of Schools to provide leadership and management of the district’s educational services and human resources operations. The Asst. Superintendent will work closely with the district’s administrative team to move the district forward, supporting existing initiatives around PLC, MTSS, PBIS, and a commitment to the use of data to inform decision making. Additionally, the Asst. Superintendent will provide leadership and guidance related to Human Resources, ensuring positive and collaborative employee and labor relations throughout the district, to include regular dialogue via labor & management meetings as well as ongoing collective bargaining processes with the district’s three associations.
In performing all of the aforementioned, the Assistant Superintendent will endeavor to support the Superintendent in achieving strategic objectives and key performance indicators, maintaining alignment with law, policy, and priorities established by the district’s Board of Directors.
