Deer Park School District is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as the next principal at Deer Park Elementary School. Our Human Resources Dept. is now accepting applications from qualified applicants until February 25th (CLICK HERE to initiate the application process). Presently, application screening is scheduled for the week of February 28th and, tentatively, initial interviews will be scheduled during the week of March 7th, and finalist interviews will be scheduled during the week of March 14th.

We’re immensely grateful for the work of the building’s current interim principal, Ms. Renee Bailey, who joined Deer Park Elementary in late September; that said, we’re excited to begin the process of choosing the building’s next leader. Deer Park Elementary School offers a unique primary setting, serving young learners in grades K through 2. Staff at DPE have the opportunity to focus on the specific needs of early learners, developing the critical foundational skills and assets necessary for academic success. DPE has eight classrooms at each grade level and the PLC framework guides the weekly collaborative work of grade-level teams. Deer Park Elementary is a Title I building and utilizes a school-wide model to provide academic and behavioral interventions.

Deer Park School District is looking for a highly collaborative, student-centered, and experienced school leader who knows how to have fun while working hard to serve kids. The ideal candidate will be capable of effectively communicating (and further developing!) the school’s vision and goals, managing and guiding the analysis of school-wide assessment data, and routinely and actively engaging families in our community.

If you have questions about the position, please reach out to either District Superintendent, Travis Hanson, or Assistant Superintendent, Alexa Allman at 464.5500.
