DEER PARK SCHOOLS WILL START TWO HOURS LATE ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9TH (MORNING PRESCHOOL IS CANCELED).
Significant snow accumulations on Thursday evening created some really difficult in many locations throughout the district. However, we're hopeful that with a little additional time this morning, plow crews and our facilities staff will be able to address the major areas of concern. Should we need to close schools based on our ongoing assessment of the conditions, we will inform families between 6:30 am and 7:30 am.
We certainly understand the inconvenience that two-hour delays cause many families, but believe this is the best course of action given the circumstances in order to ensure the safest conditions possible. As always, thanks for your support - be use extra caution out there!
