Our competitive success continues with 27 State qualifiers and 9 students advancing to the International competition in Atlanta this April. Additionally, 25 students gained professional hospitality and sports marketing experience through partnerships that included the Spokane Chiefs and Davenport Grand.
Local leaders and business owners are invited to our Community Business Tour on April 16 to see our operations in action.
Thank you for all the support from our parents and community!

Using community feedback, research, and our district’s strategic priorities, this team worked collaboratively to define the skills and characteristics our students need to be ready for their future.
We want all DPSD students to be:
- Confident, independent, and self-reliant
- Critical thinkers & problem solvers
- Personally and socially accountable
- Effective communicators
- Flexible and adaptable
- Contributing members to society and the community
We’re grateful for the voices, perspectives, and passion that made this work possible. This is how strong communities build strong future-ready students in Deer Park. 💙

In Ms. Lentz's "Everyday Art" class, students were mixing, stretching, and experimenting as they created their own slime.
Meanwhile, in Ms. Hubbard's "Nail Tech" class, students were fully focused as they brought their ideas to life with custom-designed nails for their upcoming competition.
We love seeing our students engaged, creative, and excited about learning. Home Link classes will continue as normal through Thursday, and we wish everyone a fun and restful spring break next week!

Whether it’s offering extra care and emotional support, being present and engaged with students out on the playground during recess, or providing meaningful instructional support in the classroom—each of these individuals consistently shows what it means to put students first.
Their compassion, dedication, and commitment to student success do not go unnoticed. Thank you for making a difference every single day and for helping create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for all learners. 🌟

Held annually at WSU, Spokane, the fair brings together 6th - 12th grade students to promote the development of communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
O.J. was one of only five middle school students among the 100 competitors there. She presented her research to three individual judges and engaged with the public, confidently explaining her project and answering questions.
Congratualtions O.J.! Looking forward to seeing what you'll do for your 2027 project!

It was a fun-filled and delicious evening last Thursday for Deer Park 3rd and 4th-graders!
For the Future Chefs cook-off, Arcadia received 40 great recipe submissions. This year’s theme, “Choose a favorite recipe from a country or culture,” inspired creativity and variety, with 6 finalists selected to participate.
A special thank you to our High School volunteers, our kitchen staff, and judges for making this event possible. We also appreciate the teachers, administration, and parents who came to cheer the contestants on!
Congratulations to all of our Future Chefs!

At the MAC, students explored the interactive exhibit “Brick by Brick: We Built This City,” where seven of Spokane’s iconic landmarks were brought to life using LEGO bricks. Each model was thoughtfully paired with historical insights from the Joel E. Ferris Archives along with real-life photographs, helping students make meaningful connections between the past and present. Through this experience, students gained a deeper understanding of how architecture has shaped our local community.
The learning continued with a tour of the historic Campbell House, where students stepped back in time to explore daily life in the early 1900s. This immersive experience offered a glimpse into what a household looked like around 1910, bringing history to life in a memorable and meaningful way.

Students at DPMS who earned a plus card by having one tardy or less, no referrals, and no Ds or Fs per academic quarter were rewarded with a special field trip. Students also earn SpikeBucks by being respectful, responsible, and safe within the building. Thank you, students, for inspiring excellence! Way to go!
