Reminders
Hello, Ranger families! With the first day of school for our 1st and 2nd graders this Wednesday, we have a few reminders. The congestion that comes with the first day means we are unable to have families park and walk their kids into their classrooms. If you would like to meet your child’s teacher and see the classroom, please plan to attend the 1st and 2nd grade Open House on Tuesday, August 30th, 4:30 – 5:30 pm. For our kindergarten families, we look forward to meeting with you for a WaKids conference on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Kindergarten students will have their first day on Tuesday, September 6th. If possible, we recommend students ride the bus on the first day, but also recognize family circumstances can vary. If you must drop off your child, the first few weeks of school can be challenging, so please top off your tank and pack your patience. Parents traveling south on Weber Rd. should be aware that once the staging lot to the south of DPE has filled, you will be unable to turn left off Weber. Instead, parents will be asked to continue south to the high school parking lot to turn around. As these vehicles make their way back toward DPE, they will stage off to the side of the road, allowing northbound traffic to pass. We plan to have school staff helping with this the first couple of days. Your cooperation will allow us to create the safest situation for all involved and will help keep traffic moving on Weber. Please see the map, below. Again, we appreciate your help in creating a safe experience for all students on their first day! In partnership, Tricia Kannberg, Ed.D., principal, and Haley Maxfield, assistant principal
