DPMS Announcements! Good afternoon DPMS families. I hope this message finds you well and enjoying spring. Here are a few updates and reminders for the week ahead. - Chromebooks! Every student at DPMS has a district issued Chromebook. Much of our school curriculum is online and teachers use Google Classroom to assign school work. Students MUST bring their CHARGED Chromebook to school every day! This is so important for a successful day at school for your child. Please help us by asking them to bring the Chromebook home daily and charge it at night. Thank you! - Wednesday is once again a late start. Buses run and school starts ONE HOUR late on Wednesday, 4/24. - This Friday is our 3rd quarter awards ceremony. If your child is slated to receive an award you will receive another email with the details of the assembly! Deer Park Families - Currently Deer Park Middle school, Deer Park High school, & Home Link (DP & Clayton) are out of power. A main breaker is out. Avista is working on it. Phones are down as well. Students are safe and school is being conducted as usual. We are hopeful power is restored soon.

During the Open House, all staff will be available for drop-ins, student work will be on display, musical ensembles will be performing and 6th grade families will have their Camp Reed information night 6:00-6:30 in the Cafeteria). Students must be accompanied by an adult and will start in Flex where they will get an Open House “Passport”, review their fall digital portfolio, look at 3rd quarter grades on Skyward and get Language Arts and Math growth data. In addition, to encourage attendance, students may enter a drawing for a gift basket (10 per grade level) by getting at least eight “Passport” locations stamped at classrooms and activities attended with an adult. Students can purchase books during school March 25th - 27th The book fair will also be open during the Spring Celebration March 27th from 4:30pm-7:30pm and March 28th from 8:45am - 11:45am come and experience the excitement all over again with your kids.
